What is Medicare Advantage Insurance

Medicare Advantage (also called Part C) is a way to get your Medicare coverage through a private insurance company that’s approved by Medicare. Instead of juggling Original Medicare (Part A for hospital + Part B for doctor visits) separately, and then maybe buying a Part D drug plan and a Medigap supplement, Medicare Advantage rolls most of that into one plan

What it Includes

  • Hospital (Part A) – Inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing, some home health.

  • Medical (Part B) – Doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services.

  • Prescription Drugs (Part D) – Most Advantage plans include this.

  • Extras – Vision, dental, hearing, fitness memberships, even transportation in some cases.

Why Choose Medicare Advantage (Part C)

A single plan that bundles hospital, medical, and often prescriptions—plus extra perks you’ll actually use.

All-in-One Coverage

Combines Medicare Part A (hospital), Part B (medical), and often Part D (prescriptions).

Extra Benefits

Vision, dental, hearing, and even fitness memberships—varies by plan.

Cost Savings

Low premiums and annual maximum out-of-pocket limits for predictable costs.

Convenience

Streamlined coverage with local provider networks and one member ID card.

How Medicare Advantage Works

Four clear steps. Confidence in your coverage.

  1. Review Your Eligibility

Confirm you have Part A & B and know which enrollment period applies (Initial, Annual, or Special).

  2. Compare Plan Options

Review premiums, copays, provider networks, drug coverage, and extra benefits in your area.

  3. Enroll & Start Coverage

Apply during an eligible period. Coverage usually starts the first of the following month.

  4. Review Annually

Plans change yearly. Review during the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7) to ensure it still fits your needs.

Explore Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are offered by private insurers approved by Medicare. Benefits, provider networks, and availability vary by location. You must continue to pay your Part B premium. Enrollment allowed only during designated election periods.
